The FDNY EMT who helplessly watched as her partner was runover and killed by her own hijacked ambulance has resigned from her position, according to a report.
Monique Williams retired on a disability pension, distraught over the March 2017 death of Yadira Arroyo, the New York Post reports. The two worked at EMT Station 26 in the Morrisania section of the Bronx.

The suspect, Jose Gonzalez, is accused of hijacking the ambulance and running over Arroyo. He’s charged with murder in the case.
At a court hearing in August, Gonzalez reportedly had an outburst in court and demanded a new lawyer. At one point screamed “I’ll kill you” at his lawyer.
