A.J. is in Norfolk, Va., speaking at the 40th anniversary of the Virginia EMS Conference.
The Virginia EMS conference is one of the best EMS conferences in the country run by a state office of EMS. This year the conference is being attended by more than 1,800 people and occupying four hotels – with two of them serving as exhibit hall areas and sites for presentations.
They have an amazing 400 sessions this year and very robust exhibit areas.
The beautiful 1963 Cadillac ambulance that you see restored in these photos is magnificent – stocked with equipment dating back from 1963, with the exception of a Life Pak 5 – which was thrown in for good measure.
The ambulances on the exhibit hall floor are packed with some of the latest features from the manufactures and there is a lot of interest in Virginia and the surrounding areas on mechanical CPR – so there are plenty of people visiting the ZOLL (Autopulse) and STRYKER (LUCAS 3) booths to discuss it with them.
