SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – A patient was in the back of an ambulance that caught fire yesterday, according to a report.
It happened yesterday by Exit 4 on Route 291 West, according to WWLP-TV. Capt. Brain Tetrault, of the Springfield Fire Department Arson and Bomb Squad said everyone onboard was able to leave the ambulance safely and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
