Two FDNY EMTs Suffer Medical Emergencies After Crash

NEW YORK – Two FDNY emergency medical technicians suffered separate medical emergencies responding to a crash this afternoon, according to WABC-TV.

It happened just after 1 p.m. on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Woodside, Queens.

The station reports 63-year-old Liam Glinane suffered a stroke and veered off the road. EMS Lt. Raymond Wang, 47, was riding in a second ambulance and stopped to help.

Wang then became unconscious and suffered an aortic aneurysm, the station reported.

City officials called it a bizarre coincidence.

Both men were listed in critical condition at the hospital, according to WABC.
