HOUSTON, Texas – A Harris County Emergency Corps paramedic is recovering after being hit by a foul ball during Sunday night’s American League Championship Series, according to a report.

Brian Cariota was rushed to the hospital with bleeding to the brain, facial factures and possible orbital damage, Cariota’s wife told ABC 13-TV.

His wife, Cori Cariota, told the station her husband does not blame the Astros or the batter who hit the ball for what happened.

Brian Cariota said hopes Houston wins the World Series.

He may be released from the hospital this week, the wife added.
