A new program at Houston Community College in Missouri City, Texas, is now available that allows students to be paid while learning to be an EMT.
According to the college, the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program prepares students to obtain Basic – Intermediate (AEMT) and Paramedic certification. Students enter the workforce as an entry-level Basic – Intermediate (AEMT) and Paramedic practitioners.
A paramedic certification also allows students to obtain an associate degree in applied sciences.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
