SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. – An EMS crew allegedly sprayed by starter fluid while trying to treat a man at a gas station declined to press charges against him, according to a report.
WSPA-TV reports the incident happened early Wednesday morning at a Valero gas station when the man called an ambulance because he felt he was going to pass out.
According to the report, the man, who wasn’t identified, became irate toward the EMS crew after claiming they were there to kill him.
Police were called to the scene and they were able to get the man in handcuffs. He was taken by the ambulance to Spartanburg Medical Center.
While the crew didn’t want to press charges, the gas station pressed charged against him for using the starter fluid, the report states.
