OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. – An ambulance rushing to the hospital hit a pickup truck that was left sideways across a highway after the pickup collided the center barrier, according to a report.
It happened this week along Interstate 40, according to a report from KOCO-TV. Police told the station the Midwest City ambulance tried to avoid the truck but could not. The ambulance sustained minor damage.
A patient was on board at the time of the collision but no one in the rig was hurt. The ambulance was allowed to continue on to the hospital.
The driver was found walking further down the road, the station reported. It’s unclear if the driver of the pickup will be charged.
