PWW Media, Inc., the compliance education arm of Page, Wolfberg & Wirth, the national EMS industry law firm®, today announced that astronaut Jerry L. Ross will be the keynote speaker at its Executive Institute (XI) Leadership Conference to be held on October 17, 2016 at the Hershey Lodge, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Ross, a retired Air Force Colonel, is the first human to be launched into space seven times, and for a time held the world record for completing the most number of spacewalks. Ross had a distinguished career with NASA where he was a key member of the nation’s space shuttle program from before its first launch through its final landing. Ross’s presentation, “From the Ground Up to Outer Space: Key Values for EMS Leadership Success from NASA’s Frequent Flyer Astronaut” will combine his life and leadership experience into a positive message for today’s EMS and ambulance industry leaders.
“We are thrilled to have a national hero like Jerry Ross as our keynote speaker. His humble background and experience in overcoming obstacles in life to achieve his calling to become an astronaut relates directly to EMS leaders who see their work in public safety as a calling as well,” said Steve Wirth, PWW co-founder. “His participation really adds value to our leadership program at a time that is most challenging for our EMS industry” notes Wirth.
“Col. Ross brings a wealth of leadership and life experience to the XI conference. He’s been directly involved in so many essential aspects of the space shuttle program, from space walking astronaut instrumental in assembling the International Space Station to numerous leadership positions with NASA over his over three-decade astronaut career,” said Doug Wolfberg, PWW co-founder.
The XI conference is an intensive, fast-paced and practical one-day executive leadership conference designed to give EMS industry leaders critical information and practical solutions to address the many challenges facing the medical transportation industry. It is part of a five-day conference agenda that includes certification courses from the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance (NAAC®), as well as the hallmark two-day main conference – abc360 – which is the largest and most popular conference in the nation devoted to ambulance service revenue cycle and compliance.
Registration for the NAAC certification programs – The Certified Ambulance Coder® (CAC), Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO®), and Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO®) as well as the XI program and two-day abc360 conference is now open. Go to www.abc360conference.com to register or call 717-620-2521 for more information. The programs run from October 15 through October 19, 2016.
As a special part of the XI conference, Colonel Ross will personally inscribe and sign copies of his recently published autobiography, Spacewalker: My Journey in Space and Faith as NASA’s Record-Setting Frequent Flyer, during a special book signing during the XI Luncheon. Apollo 11 commander Neil Armstrong described Jerry’s book as “The book for anyone who ever dreamed of flying in space.” These books are being provided to each XI attendee courtesy of our sponsor EMS Billing Services, Inc. based in Omaha, Nebraska.
