Indiana Paramedics Injured at Race

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Two paramedics were hurt during a preliminary race of the “Rumble in Fort Wayne” series Sunday.

Several midget race cars were traveling around the track when a car spun out. A second car wheel-hopped the spinning car and went into a catch fence in one of the racetrack’s corners.

Two Lutheran Hospital paramedics were behind the fence when they were struck by the out-of-control car. A spokesman for Lutheran Hospital did not have information on the incident.
