Today marks the start of EMS WEEK 2015 so I wanted to take a moment to thank all involved in the delivery of EMS.
EMS is not an easy job. Although those who call 9-1-1 to request our services want (and expect) a fast response and quality care – few patients will ever remember who saved their lives or comforted their loved ones.
Others abuse us; and a few attempt to hurt us. But that’s OK because we are all “Warriors of EMS”; We chose to enter this occupation/vocation not for the accolades or thanks, but for the fulfillment of a desire to help people, reduce their pain, reverse their conditions and deliver their children.
We enjoy the challenges and battles with the “Grim Reaper” and will never give up in our efforts to pull a child or infirm grandmother from his grasp.
God Bless you all for your work and dedication to EMS!
