D.C. 911 Director Resigns

WASHINGTON (MyFOXDC) – FOX 5’s Paul Wagner has confirmed that Jennifer Greene, the director of the D.C. 911 center, is resigning.

Greene has been under pressure after several controversial incidents going back to last year have occurred during her watch.

These incidents included the death of Cecil Mills, the deadly smoke incident at L’Enfant Plaza, and most recently, the delayed EMS response to a young boy who choked to death on a grape.

Greene also oversaw the roll-out of controversial new GPS technology for D.C. firefighters. FOX 5 has profiled problems with the tablets which become disconnected and therefore, dispatchers cannot track their location.
