New Jersey Medical Director Named NY Yankees 2014 EMS Provider of the Year

Wall, NJ – MONOC Mobile Health Services is proud to announce that Dr. Mark Merlin, one of MONOC’s Medical Directors was honored last month as New York Yankees 2014 EMS Provider of the Year during EMS night at Yankee Stadium.

One provider is honored each year during open nomination from across the country.  EMS providers throughout the east coast came to EMS night out and witnessed Dr Merlin get the honor.  Dr. Merlin is an Emergency Physician who specializes in Emergency Medical Services (EMS).  As a member of MONOC’s Medical Advisory Board, he oversees medical command, specialty care transport services as well as MONOC’s MD-1 program, which is a service where physicians respond to life threatening prehospital emergencies when patients are entrapped and need critical services provided by an EMS Physician.  

Dr. Merlin is the Vice-Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, EMS Program Fellowship Director and an Associate Professor at Rutgers University.  Additionally Dr Merlin has authored over 60 papers and is a National Institute of Health (NIH) researcher.
