Ambulance Company Refuses to Answer About Delay in New Jersey Shooting

HOBOKEN, N.J. (MyFoxPhilly) – Police have released a wife’s panicked call to 911 after her husband was shot in a New Jersey mall carjacking last month.

30-year-old Dustin Friedland was shot and killed in a parking garage at the Short Hills Mall in December.

The Hoboken attorney was holiday shopping with his wife when police say he was accosted, shot and one of the assailants forced his wife out of the car.

His wife, Jamie, called 911 as she waited 18 minutes for an ambulance to arrive.

You can hear the panic in her voice as she spoke with dispatchers. The ambulance company is refusing to answer why it took 18 minutes to reach the mall. When the ambulance finally arrived, it couldn’t fit in the garage so emergency responders had to roll a gurney upstairs.
