Navajo nation EMS children's powow

After a day of studying pediatric emergency medicine at its annual conference on Oct. 25, Navajo Nation EMS hosted a children’s powwow in Gallup, N.M. The 27,425-square-mile reservation crosses three states: New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. “There’s a lot of children out there who are unfortunate on the Navajo Nation,” said EMS Training Manager Ramone Yazzie Sr. “A lot of these children have to live without adequate housing, running water or electricity.”
