Georgia Man Goes into Cardiac Arrest, Crashes Truck into Building

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Police say a driver who crashed his pickup truck into a vacant building outside Atlanta and later died had suffered a medical emergency before the accident.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports ( that the 68-year-old man rolled his truck into the building on Roswell Road shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said the vehicle broke through the front wall and windows and was entirely inside the building when it stopped.

Marietta firefighters and ambulance crews arrived and found the driver in cardiac arrest.

He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name wasn’t immediately released.
