Gay EMT in Boston Alleges Harassment

BOSTON — The retaliation began soon after Boston EMT John Georges filed a complaint with the state, alleging the city denied him a new assignment because he is a gay man, according to a lawsuit he filed in Suffolk Superior Court.

Someone placed a dead fish in his bag of medical equipment; colleagues shunned him; and supervisors screamed at and insulted him in front of fellow emergency medical technicians, the complaint alleges.
