Two Injured in Los Angeles School Bus Fire

LOS ANGELES – Two people have been injured in a fire that gutted a school bus on a busy Los Angeles freeway.

Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott says firefighters responded Wednesday morning to reports of the burning school bus on the southbound 101 Freeway near Universal City.

He says crews extinguished the raging fire in about 11 minutes.

Scott did not know if the two injured people were students and had no information about the extent of their injuries. He also did not know what sparked the flames.
