8 Hurt in Minnesota School Bus Crash

KINGSTON, Minn. – The State Patrol says eight students were injured when a school bus and pickup truck collided in the fog in south central Minnesota Friday morning.

Lt. Eric Roeske says the eight students were taken to two hospitals. He says none of the injuries apparently are serious.

The bus was heading east on county Highway 21 when it was struck by the pickup traveling south on Highway 15 near Kingston in Meeker County. Roeske says the bus had a stop sign, the truck did not. He says visibility was about one-eighth of a mile.

The Star Tribune reports the bus was carrying 17 children from the Dassel Cokato School District.
