Rural Metro Employees Admit to Starting Fires While On Duty

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two former Rural Metro ambulance employees have admitted starting a fire deliberately while on duty.

20-year-old Jonathan Safe admitted to arson and 22-year-old Lyndsey Sgro pleaded guilty to attempted arson. Safe also admitted starting a fire that leveled a vacant home in Buffalo.

Rural Metro fired the employees and turned them in after learning of the crimes.
