Medevac Oversight Bill Gets Preliminary Approval

BALTIMORE — The House of Delegates gave preliminary approval Wednesday morning to a bill that would add two members a police helicopter pilot and a member of the public to Maryland’s 11-person emergency medical services oversight board.

The bill also would create a legislative oversight committee of delegates and senators to monitor state police procurement of new medevac helicopters and safety improvements to the state’s emergency medical system.
