St. Petersburg, Florida — Police say paramedic Alvin Natal was arrested Sunday afternoon around 4:30 in St. Pete for having crack cocaine inside his personal car.
Natal admitted to officers right away that he had a crack habit and handed over the $10 rock he says he purchased.
The paramedic was arrested shortly after on felony charges and booked into the Pinellas County jail. Natal posted bail the next day.
The 55-year-old works for Sunstar, Pinellas County’s premier ambulance agency.
Sunstar released a statement Thursday afternoon saying, “We are aware of the situation. This employee has not worked on the road for the last few weeks. He is on suspended status.”Click here to read more.
