A Paramedic Did What?

LARGO, Fla. — Most people assume that if they’re in an accident, the paramedic treating them will not have a criminal history. At least, that’s what they hope.

One former Sunstar paramedic in Pinellas County is causing quite a controversy with his extensive criminal past, considering the fact that he treated thousands of residents.

William Steven Haynes was hired at Sunstar in February 2007. The 42-year-old has an arrest record that includes charges of child abuse, domestic assault, shoplifting and driving with a suspended license.
