Philly Paramedics Attacked by Man Hit by Car

Man came to in ambulance and stabbed at paramedics

Two Philadelphia paramedics were attacked Monday morning by a man they were transporting after he had been hit by a car and knocked unconscious.

When he came to in the ambulance, he allegedly stabbed both paramedics using scissors. The paramedics immediately pushed an emergency button to alert police, according to KPVI-TV Philadelphia.

The man then reportedly jumped out of the ambulance with an oxygen container still connecteded to him. He threw the oxygen tank at the driver's side window of a fire engine following the ambulance and attempted to enter and steal the fire engine.

Firefighters dragged the man out of the fire engine and police then tazed him multiple times, according to reports.
