Tractor-Trailer Rear Ends School Bus Carrying Children

At least one person flown from scene with head injury; about 25 children injured

A tractor-trailer rear-ended a school bus carrying children in Hazle Township, Pa., resulting in more than 40 people, mostly children, being transported to the hospital on Friday.

Most of the injuries appeared to be minor, but one child was flown to a hospital with a head injury.

Dozens of ambulances from three counties responded to the incident, according to local media reports.

Most of the children were taken to Hazelton General Hospital, where staff set up an emergency triage area.
