Skateboarder Collides with Deer at 40 mph

GOLDON, CO (KCNC/CNN) -- The Buffalo Bill Downhill race is also nicknamed the "bloodspill." Contestant Ryan Vitale now knows why. Reaching a speed of 40 miles per hour on his skateboard, Vitale slams into a deer on Lookout Mountain.

"I remember opening my eyes and being on top of a deer. And then I was pretty much in shock and so was the deer," Ryan Vitale said.
