Indiana Fire Captain and Paramedic Dead in Murder-Suicide

Double shooting in Bloomington claims two members of the public safety community

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) - Authorities in Monroe County were investigating an apparent murder-suicide on Monday. Monroe County coroner Nicole Meyer said the double shooting happened around 6 a.m. Monday. Meyer identified the two who died as 48-year-old Kelly Doane Emerick and 42-year-old William D. “Randy” Roudebush, both of Bloomington. Emerick was a supervisor for IU Health Bloomington’s Emergency Medical Transport Service. Roudebush was a firefighter for Perry Clear Creek, Ellettsville and White River Township fire departments.
