Co-Worker Mourns Texas Paramedic Killed in Crash

Crash with alleged drunken driver killed Edward Gomez, 3 family members

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

Edward Gomez, a paramedic with Med-Care EMS in Texas, was killed with his family on June 30 when their vehicle has hit head-on by another vehicle, driven by an allegedly drunken woman.

Co-workers remember Gomez as a gracious, kind individual, both on the job and with his family. Gomez's wife, 3-year-old daughter and 13-year-old niece were also killed in the accident.

“There was just a genuine graciousness which made him great at his job,” Mack Gilbert, director of operations at Med-Care EMS, told KGBT4-TV.
