Proper Placement Is Needed for NDs

Relief of a tension pneumothorax is a life-saving procedure, and its use is on the rise. However, patients would have little to gain if a major vessel or the heart was injured during a needle decompression (ND). EMS should ensure providers are placing NDs correctly.
