Get Patients Sorted & Protected

MCIs during cold and other inclement weather add another critical concern for the medical sector commander. Although triaging, treating and transporting duties will keep you busy enough, you don’t want bad weather conditions to add would-be survivors to the casualty count. The new Cocoon Triage System from Go Manufacturing Innovations is a lightweight, insulated sleeping bag that offers protection from the elements. But how would you know the triage designation once the patient is covered, you might ask. The Cocoon has red, yellow and green Velcro® stripes that can be deployed so everyone knows the patient’s triage classification. It’s reversible, so if the MCI occurs in the desert, simply turn the shiny side out to reflect the heat and keep your patient from frying in the sun.
