The 18th annual National EMS Memorial Service is taking place on June 26 at 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. Weekend Honoring Fallen Providers
The National EMS Memorial Service encompasses a number of events spanning three days, all centered around and leading up to the Saturday evening ceremony known as "the National EMS Memorial Service."
538 Providers Honored since 1993
The 10 EMS line of duty deaths being recognized this year are as follows: chief pilot Guy Del Giudice, aviation mechanic Stephen Durler, EMT Esteban Bahena, paramedic Daniel McIntosh, flight paramedic Anthony Archuleta, pilot Bill Montgomery, flight paramedic John Sutter, driver Leroy Kemp, paramedic Mark Vernick and EMT Paul Bazinet.
One-Day Ride Raises Awareness
The 2010 EMS Memorial Bike Ride in Colorado is a one‐day bicycling event to honor and celebrate the lives of EMS providers who have become sick or injured, or have died while performing their duties.
On the Road
The ride starts in Littleton at AirLife Memorial Park and ends in an EMS parade and barbeque at Antler’s park in Colorado Springs. The barbecue is co‐sponsored by the National EMS Memorial Service.
