Life Corporation LIFE Start System
EMS departments often get calls from businesses, as well as industry and community organizations about emergency preparedness, training and first-aid equipment. Offering CPR, AED, first-aid and emergency medical responder training is an invaluable way to reach out to the community. And, helping them organize these response materials ensures they have what they need and that your crews know responders’ capabilities.
The new LIFE Start System from Life Corporation offers a compact way to organize an AED, emergency oxygen and basic first-aid supplies. The molded nylon case secures a variety of compact AEDs for life-saving defibrillation, and a 113 L oxygen cylinder allows trained responders to administer oxygen therapy for the chest pain that precedes cardiac arrest. Additional storage space is available for a pocket mask, scissors and first-aid supplies. VITALS Size: 12" x 12" x 3"

5.11 Tactical Responder Series
For more than 30 years, 5.11 Tactical has been designing and manufacturing products for emergency responders. By using industry experts in focus groups and rigorous field trials, 5.11 has built a reputation for superior quality and innovation. Continuing that trend, the new Responder Series of EMS bags are sure to be a hit. To review the work of seasoned professionals, we used our own unique focus group: EMS rookies. In 2008, the Chester Upland School District partnered with the Crozer-Keystone Health System to start the Smedley High School for Allied Health Careers. Smedley introduces high school students to the wide variety of careers in the health-care industry, including EMS. Club Crozer, the most popular after-school program at Smedley, was impressed with the entire 5.11 Responder Series.
The Responder ALS 2900 Bag is made from durable, water-resistant 1050D nylon. The oxygen tank tunnel is reinforced with plastic to prevent wear through and can be installed two ways or removed. Four modular cases fit inside the Responder ALS 2900 to organize medications, airway, IV access and miscellaneous supplies. A double-strap system allows the bag to be comfortably carried as a shoulder bag or backpack. Other common features include oversized, glove-friendly nylon Web zipper pull tabs, write bars on the main bag and all internal bags, and Velcro name-tape and flag/patch holders on the main bag.
The Responder BLS 2000 Bag has many of the 2900’s features in addition to multiple exterior pockets that provide flexible storage options. Removable organizers with mesh-top panels offer easy identification of contents.
The new Responder 84 ALS Backpack is the largest 5.11 EMS pack and accommodates a full-size oxygen tank, as well as the same removable IV and airway cases found in the ALS 2900 bag. A fleece-lined pocket at the top of the pack keeps eyewear, flashlights and small tools handy.
