Are you tempted to dump work stress on your spouse? If so, share how the stress makes you feel. Don’t deliver a blow-by-blow. This will overwhelm your mate.    

Try this:

  • Do say: "That accident left me angry and exhausted."
  • Don't say: "You won't believe the horror of that four-car pileup. Here's what happened…"
