Steven Van Hemme was on his way to work on his motorcycle when a pickup truck pulled out across the road ahead of him on Aug. 26, 1008. He was a full-time Firefighter with Toronto Fire, and a part-time Primary Care Paramedic in Peterborough, Ontario Canada.
