Continuing education hours have been applied for through NAEMSE, which is accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) Goals of the course include: To assist EMS educators in achieving the entry-level portions of the DOT/NHTSA 2002 Guidelines for Educating the EMS Instructor (To attain this goal students are required to complete selected readings on the NAEMSE website prior to attending the actual course.)To provide tools and resources to educators who want to teach to the best of their potential. To provide foundational information on the teaching process. To provide opportunities for networking and interpersonal growth. Summative evaluation of the course: A portion of the course will be conducted online and will include educational material pertinent to the successful completion of the course. Participants will complete a written post test which includes information from the NAEMSE Educator Course web site.
