In this webcast, Dr. Ben Bobrow of the University of Arizona, who served as a member of the AHA’s BLS Subcommittee and guest editor of the JEMS supplement, CPR Performance Counts, and Dr. Graham Nichol of the University of Washington will focus on the latest resuscitation science and the evolution of the 2010 AHA Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Guidelines. They will:

Review the Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support guidelines
Discuss key changes
Identify areas for intense future research

Bentley J. Bobrow, MD, is an associate professor of emergency medicine and practices at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. He is a member of the Arizona Emergency Medicine Research Center and the Sarver Heart Center at the University of Arizona. He is the medical director for the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System at the Arizona Department of Health Services and is a volunteer member of the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Subcommittee.

Graham Nichol, MD, MPH, FRCP

Graham Nichol, MD, MPH, FRCP, is a professor of medicine in the division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Washington- Harborview Medical Center. He is the Medic One Foundation Endowed Chair in Prehospital Emergency Care, director of UW-HMC Center for Prehospital Emergency Care, and medical director for the University of Washington Clinical Trial Center. He has focused his career on evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of interventions for patients with acute cardiovascular disease.
