The introduction and increased use of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices has added a new dimension to prehospital airway management. At 1 p.m. Eastern on Nov. 30 Kathleen Schrank, MD, FACEP, FACP, will detail CPAP and ventilation in ‘Breathe Deeply: How CPAP can help your patients.’ In the interactive presentation, Schrank will discuss the difference between CPAP and bag-valve mask ventilation, as well as indications and contraindications for CPAP.
