Ky. Man Arrested for Driving Retired Ambulance

He was running red lights & sirens responding to pet calls

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Steven Lowery was in his personal ambulance and got an emergency call that a dog had been run over. Lowery has no veterinarian training but says he recently started his own business--Metro Medical--which transports injured animals. He turned on the ambulance's lights and sirens and was speeding through traffic when police eventually caught up with him. Lowery was arrested and his ambulance impounded.
