The FDNY has a long history of multiple generations of the same family serving at the same time. On 9/11, this tradition took a tragic turn; many FDNY firefighters lost family members who also responded to the incident. To mark the 10-year anniversary of September 11, FireRescue Editor-in-Chief Tim Sendelbach interviewed FDNY firefighters whose sons or fathers were killed on 9/11. In Part 1 of this four-part series, we meet the "Band of Dads" and discuss the sacrifices they made.
