William Sugiyama, MA, RN, NREMT - P, IAEMSC President On behalf of the IAEMSC Leadership and members, we send our most heart–felt condolences for the tragedy that befell the town of Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012.
I feel how weak and fruitless that any words could attempt to alleviate you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. A tragedy so great that no words or actions could ever hope to curtail the anguish of your mourning.
As President Obama somberly stated, “…our hearts are broken today…” and I do not know how they will ever fully recover.
As a Country we have been through too many of these tragedies. The loss of innocence, without reason or cause, tears at our souls and the heart of our society.
Through this unspeakable evil, it is my greatest hope that you will persevere, allow your wounds to heal, and return stronger than before this day. It may provide little comfort but please know, as you grieve, we mourn with you, as you cry we shed tears with you, and as you heal, we extend our hand in unwavering support.
Bless the memories of the victims, their families and salute the heroic efforts of the Sandy Hook Elementary School employees, EMS responders, Fire Fighters, and Law Enforcement Officers.
