Rider Alert Team: Safety Crusade
The Safety Crusade continued this week in during Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, as the Rider Alert Team and members of Virginia State Police took part in the Naval Air Station Oceana, Motorcycle Rodeo. The event commenced with a Poker Run from the SEAL Team base at Dam Neck Virginia to Oceana, the US Navy’s Master Jet Base.
The opening event then saw speeches from the US Navy Safety organization followed by Rider Alert and Richmond Ambulance Authority’s Rob Lawrence. Sailors, Naval Aviators and veterans then had the opportunity to view safety displays, and pick up one or a hundred (depending on the size of club or aircraft carrier!) Rider Alert Cards for use inside helmets.
National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month continues, with the launch of Rider Alert Texas at the Texas HOG Rally at the Fort Worth Stockyards this weekend.
