Doing business in this fragile economy is difficult enough – subjecting customers to surcharges goes against everything Witmer Public Safety Group stands for. While the settlement of a lawsuit between credit card companies and merchants has given merchants permission to levy up to a 4% surcharge against customers paying with a credit card – we have taken the position that our customers are more valuable than any offsetting “swipe fees.”
