New York Ambulance Collides with Tractor-Trailer

| Tuesday, September 22, 2009

FARNHAM, N.Y. (AP) - An ambulance has collided with a tractor-trailer in western New York, injuring four volunteer emergency medical services workers.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard says an ambulance from the tiny Village of Farnham was traveling through an Indian reservation with its emergency lights flashing Monday night when it tried to make a U-turn at an intersection and collided with the tractor-trailer.

Jamestown resident Robert Stoffle was driving the tractor-trailer but wasn't hurt.

The four EMS workers have been taken to a hospital. Their injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
