CTB Wireless Ships BURY Fixed Mount Car Phone

CTB Wireless | | Friday, October 5, 2012

PASADENA, Calif.—Distributor CTB Wireless announced a new fixed-mount, in-car mobile phone aimed at luxury car owners and fleet managers.  The phone is not portable, but resides in the car and it works over the AT&T network.

For fleets that support multiple driving shifts (a different driver every 8 hours), the manager might find it easier to place a single phone in the car to track it down, rather than calling multiple individual drivers.

The fixed mount CP1100 from BURY Technologies just began shipping at $938,  It provides up to a 2.3 watt signal boost, and has a 2.8 inch display with large illuminated keys, voice dialing, and voice control over menu functions.   It also displays text messages and reads them out loud.

The radio module in the BURY CP1100 is strictly GSM.  Therefore, it will work with an AT&T SIM card, which the user must purchase.
