Dixon, Calif., Paramedics Respond to a Toppled Tractor Call

From the February 2010 Issue | Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Paramedics tend to a patient after a tractor accident in Dixon, Calif. According to the California Highway Patrol, the patient had been traveling at about 10 mph when he pulled his 2007 Case Maxxum 110 tractor onto the right shoulder to avoid an oncoming vehicle. When he attempted to re-enter the roadway, part of the tractor grabbed the pavement, flipping it onto its side. He had not been wearing a seat belt. Dixon Fire Department paramedics immobilized his cervical spine and treated him for lacerations and upper body pain. They transported him by ground ambulance to Woodland Memorial Hospital.
