West Virginia Firefighter, EMT Killed in Traffic Accident

Price was an emergency medical technician with the Logan County Ambulance Authority

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. (AP) — A firefighter who is the son of Chapmanville's mayor has died in a traffic accident in Logan County.

The Logan County sheriff's department says 21-year-old Cory Price of Chapmanville died after an approaching car lost control and struck his motorcycle along state Route 10 on Monday. The accident remains under investigation.

Media outlets report Price is the son of Chapmanville Mayor Jerry Price. He was a member of the Logan and Chapmanville fire departments. He also was an emergency medical technician with the Logan County Ambulance Authority and taught at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.
