What: EMS Safety Course (8-hour official National Association of EMTs NAEMT course with certification)

Who: Any EMS provider or student interested

Hosted by: Jeff Force and Pikes Peak Community College

When: Saturday June 25, 2011; 8 a.m.to 4 p.m.

Where: Centennial Campus of Pikes Peak Community College Room A160b; 5675 S.Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colo. (Free parking in "D" lot)

Cost/Registration: $35 (payable on site or billable by PPCC); Includes certification card from NAEMT, course manual and lunch. To register contact: Jeff Force by e-mail or phone at or (719) 502-3325.

Why: Improving safety in EMS is vital to our profession. This course is being offered to coincide with the National EMS Memorial Service. By improving our safety we honor those who have perished and work to decrease future line of duty deaths. Participants are very strongly encouraged to attend the memorial service immediately following the course. Please bring your EMS uniform, class A uniform or formal dress clothing. You attendance demonstrates to the families that EMS will never forget the sacrifice their loved one made.
