SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Rural/Metro Corporation announced today that it has finalized a new contract in which its Southwest Ambulance subsidiary will provide exclusive emergency ambulance transportation services to Arizona's first Regional Emergency Transportation System (RETS). The City of Mesa, Town of Gilbert, Town of Queen Creek and Apache Junction Fire District comprise the newly formed EMS region.

The RETS contract is for an initial three-year term, followed by two three-year renewal terms, for a total possible length of nine years. Southwest Ambulance has a long history of continuous service to the communities that comprise the EMS region. The Company has served all four areas for a combined average of 21 years.
