The truck apparently rolled over on the man while he was working on the brakes.

A 29-year-old man was killed by a truck he was repairing, an official said.

The incident occurred about 9:20 p.m. Saturday at a farm property in the 300 block of Stone Church Road in Armbrust.

A tanker truck apparently rolled over the man while he was beneath it working on the brakes, Youngwood Fire Chief Lloyd Crago said. The man, whose identity could not be confirmed yesterday, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, Crago said.

It was unclear whether someone had started the truck.

"We couldn't figure out exactly what happened," Crago said.

Crago said that the Midway-St. Clair and New Stanton fire companies responded to the scene, along with an official from the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office and state police.

Neither the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office nor police released details yesterday regarding the death.
