LEBANON, Ky. (AP) — An ambulance carrying a patient has crashed on a central Kentucky highway.

Kentucky State Police said the ambulance dropped off the shoulder of Miller Pike just outside of Lebanon late Sunday afternoon. Driver Catherine Hubbell lost control and the ambulance hit a utility pole and overturned.

Paramedic Troy Hamilton was in the back, treating the patient and he was injured. Hamilton was flown to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

The patient wasn't injured by the crash and Hubbell was released after treatment at an emergency room.
